You might have thought against trying it. That's right, you can equip armor, goggles, or bandanas on Dogmeat. This cool-looking armor is quite customizable, starting with the decals on the front. At least in Fallout 4 you can tailor your companions to your liking, including Dogmeat. It simply takes the New Vegas-style Sierra Madre Security Armor and adds it to the game. Modder ThatSpartacusGuy seems to be in the same camp as me, and they’ve created this mod to give the Vault Security Armor a bit more grit and realism. Most players will simply transfer the item over thinking the companion will equip them, but instead you have to push the button displayed at the bottom that specifically makes them equip it. To do this simply walk up to the companion and select the option to transfer items.
